Maruti Suzuki has launched the CNG version of its Celerio hatchback in India. It is offered in a mid-tier VXi trim.
The car looks similar to the standard model barring an “S-CNG” badge on the tailgate and has a spacious cabin with lots of features.
It draws power from a 1.0-liter K10C DualJet engine that puts out 57hp of power.
The Maruti Suzuki Celerio has crossed the six lakh unit sales milestone in India. As fuel prices continue to rise, customers may opt for the CNG variant, thereby boosting the car’s sales even more.
The CNG version of the hatchback has been affordably priced and offers decent mileage. It will take on rivals like the Hyundai Santro CNG and the upcoming Tata Tiago CNG.
It delivers a mileage of 35.6km/kg
Maruti Suzuki Celerio CNG runs on a 1.0-liter K10C DualJet engine that makes 57hp of power and 82.1Nm of torque. The mill is linked to a factory-fitted CNG kit and a 5-speed manual gearbox. The car promises a mileage of 35.6km/kg.
In India, the Maruti Suzuki Celerio CNG carries a price-tag of Rs. 6.58 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The CNG version of the four-wheeler costs Rs. 95,000 more than its equivalent petrol-powered variant.
