Japanese automaker Toyota will launch its 2022 Glanza hatchback in India on March 15.Now, the brand has started accepting bookings for the four-wheeler on payment of a token amount of Rs. 11,000.Separately, it has also been revealed that the car will be offered in four trims and shall share its color options with the new Maruti Suzuki Baleno, except for beige.

The facelifted Toyota Glanza will be a rebranded version of the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Baleno. The 2022 Toyota Glanza will sport a sculpted bonnet, sleek LED headlamps, a Camry-like grille and bumper, as well as a wide air vent.It will be flanked by ORVMs, blacked-out B-pillars, and 16-inch alloy wheels. A window wiper, LED taillights, and a roof-mounted antenna will grace the rear end.It will be offered in red, white, silver, blue, and gray shades.

The hatchback will get six airbags and head-up display
The new Toyota Glanza will have a spacious 5-seater cabin, featuring a dual-tone black and beige color scheme, a head-up display (HUD), auto climate control, and a multifunctional steering wheel.It will house a touchscreen infotainment console with support for Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and connected car technology.The safety of the passengers will be ensured by a 360-degree-view camera and six airbags.

It will run on a 90hp, 1.2-liter engine
The upcoming Toyota Glanza will draw power from a 1.2-liter, Dualjet, K12N petrol engine linked either to a 5-speed manual or 5-speed AMT gearbox. The mill generates a maximum power of 90hp and a peak torque of 113Nm.

In India, the 2022 Toyota Glanza should carry a premium over the outgoing model, which begins at Rs. 7.7 lakh (ex-showroom). It will be available in four variants, namely E, V, G, and S.
